Being able to pitch effectively is a critical skill for a founder. It can help you to unlock partnerships, investment capital and customers.
Come along to the pitching workshop led by Dan Mahaven, Founding Partner of boutique investment business Ecotone Partners to learn about honing your skills.
Pitching as a skill has many different component parts. This session will be focused on developing your understanding of:
- how to use storytelling to build a compelling and coherent narrative for your venture
- the different forms of pitching you will need to be prepared for; and
- the most important content decisions you need to consider in your pitch.
During the session Dan will also provide and range of practical tips on:
- pitch preparation
- how to build a strong pitch deck; and
- presentation “dos and don’ts”
Through this workshop Dan will be able to answer your questions and offer his expertise from an investment perspective.

About Dan Madhavan
Dan is a Founding Partner at Ecotone Partners a boutique funds management and advisory business focused on positive investing.
Dan has extensive experience in working with early-stage founders from his time on the Advisory Board of MAP, as Chair of ygap and through his involvement with Optus Futuremakers, FYA Young Social Pioneers and more recently with Cartier Women’s Initiative.
Before Ecotone Partners, Dan was CEO of Impact Investment Group (IIG), which included responsibility for its three divisions Renewable Energy, Property and Venture Capital (Giant Leap). Dan joined IIG following three years as the inaugural CEO of Impact Investing Australia. Dan began his career in finance with 13 years at JBWere and Goldman Sachs JBWere.
